What's the difference between an answered and a completed survey?

This article explains the individual participant statuses, including the difference between Answered and Completed

Besides the overall survey statuses, each survey participant also has an individual status. It shows exactly where that person is in the survey process.

Answered vs. Completed

  • Answered - the participant has answered the questions, but has not yet submitted the survey.

  • Completed - the participant has submitted the survey.

All individual participant statuses

  • Sending - the survey invitation is being sent

  • Sent - the invitation has been delivered

  • Failed - the email could not be delivered

  • Opened - the participant has opened the survey email

  • Started - the participant has started the survey

  • Answered - the participant has answered the questions

  • Completed - the survey has been submitted
